    Originally from Southampton in the UK, I graduated with honours from Southampton University in Biological Science and Education. Before entering teaching, I had a career in Sales and Marketing with a number of scientific research companies in the UK, Europe and the United States. I have lived in Poland for five years from Gdansk to Ustron, where I have a wooden house on the side of a 1500 metre mountain - great in all seasons apart from winter when carrying a shovel is necessary.

    Adam Hołda

    I joined The British School in 2011. As a linguist and philologist I always wanted to work in anmultilingual and multicultural society. I graduated from the College of Inter-Faculty Studies at University of Warsaw which enabled me to complete studies in German Philology, Polish Philology and Applied Linguistics (Russian). As a scholarship holder of "Memory, Responsibility, Future" foundation I spent one year at Humboldt Universität zu Berlin. Before joining the school I worked as a German and Polish teacher in the International European School in Warsaw. Currently I am working on his PhD thesis concerning the development of participle constructions in the old Polish language. I am running classes in introduction to diachronic linguistics and analysis of old Polish texts in the Institute of Polish Language at University of Warsaw. In the years 2005 - 2011 I worked as a Russian language consultant for the BBC production "Behind closed doors – Stalin" and for Zodiak Jerzy Hoffman film "Bitwa Warszawska 1920".

    I graduated from Queensland University of Technology in 2005 with a Secondary Education degree majoring in Mathematics.  In 2008, after moving and working in London for two years, I gained my British Teaching Qualification. In 2009, I had been teaching for four and half years at Acland Burgley School in London, I met my wife and we decided to say goodbye to London and embark on an oriental adventure. For three years I worked in one of the top British International School in South East Asia, Garden International School, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. During my last 2 years I was at Garden I was promoted to Assistant Head of year 7.
