I have loved science since I was at school which lead me to choosing a degree in Biological Sciences. I was lucky enough to study at Oxford University which was a challenging but incredible experience. Following my BSc I did a Masters in Control of Infectious Disease at LSHTM in London and a PGCE in Birmingham where I got my first role as science teacher. I have a passion for horses and horse-riding so I then took a year out to work at a dressage yard in Hertfordshire where I gained my BHS Stage 2 but was keen to get back into teaching following this.
As I was researching teaching jobs my parents suggested I look at vacancies beyond the UK. Having spent a considerable time in Poland when I was younger and having an amazing experience here I contacted The British School, Warsaw where I was delighted to be offered a position. I have been working here for a number of years now, have thoroughly enjoyed Poland and love working with our students and fellow members of staff.
Highest Quality Learning
Highest Quality Learning is where we give every child the opportunity to excel. It is about turning our classrooms into places where students feel comfortable to take intellectual risks and to make and learn from their mistakes. It is about pushing beyond the boundaries of content and syllabus to help each student discover what learning is really about.
