I am now teaching science in the senior part of the school, although when I first joined the school, it was as a year 5 teacher. Over my career as a teacher, I have had experience at teaching students from year 3 up to and including year 13.
Although born in London, I grew up in a small town in Northern Ireland. Following secondary education in Northern Ireland, I came back to London to do my degree and while studying, I met my husband (who is also employed at The British School in Warsaw). I have 2 grown up sons who live in UK. I enjoy collecting earrings- the more unusual the better! I also enjoy travelling and trying new recipes (some of which have not been quite successful!)
Highest Quality Learning
Teaching science is an ideal environment for the implicit implementation of HQL -students become risk takers when they hypothesise and devise experiments which test it. It facilitates the opportunity for students to collaborate with each other-while at the same time encouraging independent thinkers. Students learn to apply knowledge and understanding to unfamiliar situations.
