Aspirations

It is our expectation that students leaving our school will wish to continue their studies at university. Every year, our IB graduates receive offers from top Universities around the world. This year two of our International Diploma graduates were awarded places at University of Cambridge, two at the Imperial College London and one at Columbia University.

We recognise and celebrate success throughout the school, whether it is a one year old who has made their first mark with a pencil or an 11 year old who has won a gold medal in sport.

We know that personal achievement can be shown in many ways and as a school we embrace and share in that success, from academic excellence to social confidence.

Our rich and fulfilling school life provides many opportunities for our students to achieve at the highest levels, as well as grow and develop in personal and social confidence. Indeed, in a recent parent survey 95% of our parents indicated that their child was happy at school, and can see that their child is developing in confidence and independence.

As well as our teacher’s giving regular positive feedback and praise to the children, we use school reward systems. These allow us to reward personal achievement immediately in school.

Throughout the school house points are awarded to children for both academic and sporting achievements. Certificates and a strong house team spirit foster individual and team motivation to do well and grow.

Our youngest children may be ‘spotted’ for doing something challenging or caring. It may be listening carefully, helping a friend or answering a question in class, for example.
