Sport and Physical Education

Our physical education and sport program is an integral part of our curriculum, as we see maintaining a fit and healthy life style essential to our students’ learning.

  • Teacher coaching
  • football match
  • swim meet
  • Basketball

The Physical Education curriculum at British School of Washington, as well as after school sports plays a vital role in our students’ development and growth.  There are outstanding opportunities to play, have fun, and develop fitness.  Our school successfully competes in Soccer, Volleyball and Cross Country and other sporting events.

House Competitions

Each of our four Houses competes in sport competitions.  These occur on a regular basis and our students are excited to represent their House team to gain points for Sports Trophies and the House Cup.  In May, the whole school actively is involved and supports Sports Week.

After School Sports

Training sessions equip students to compete in leagues against other schools and clubs in the following sports:

  • Soccer
  • Basketball
  • Track and field
  • Cross-country running
  • Kickball
  • Swimming
  • Volleyball
