Since I can remember, I have always dreamed of being a primary teacher but before completing my PGDE at Edinburgh University, I decided to broaden my skills by doing a Masters in French and Spanish at Edinburgh University first. During university, I worked in my spare time to give me the opportunity to go abroad to volunteer and teach across different continents, so this seems to be a perfect combination of my passions; education, travelling and languages. After university, I had many great experiences, teaching first in East Renfrewshire then moving on to Glasgow where I also mentored student teachers from Glasgow University to become creative and enthusiastic professionals.
Since starting at the British International School of Washington, I have been overwhelmed by the warm welcome and professionalism from all staff members, as well as the enthusiastic and supportive parents and school community members. It is a truly unique environment where children are challenged everyday to develop personally, socially and academically in engaging learning journeys and I am very excited to be a part of it!
