CODE CAMP 2015

This is a busy year in the ICT department. Not only that we have started to run IGCSE Computer science course on Wednesday afternoons during enrichment time, we now have students participating in two different computing competitions. One is aimed at problem solving skills and another one at programming.

Joshua Silverberg, Wang Yu, Arkadiy Deliev and Peter Novak have signed up for a five-week long programming competition run by The University of Sydney and the National Computer Science School.

The Challenge is a programming competition for secondary school age students. It’s been running in Australia for the last nine years, and this year it’s open to everyone. The Challenge is unlike any other programming competition as it teaches the students how to program as they go along, rather than expecting them to be experts already. If the students are seasoned coders, they have something for them too – the problems range from relatively simple to mind-bendingly hard.

For five weeks starting from Monday 2nd November 2015 and running until Sunday 4th December 2015, the students will receive a set of notes containing the information they will need to complete weekly programming challenges, each week having 6-8 various challenges that get gradually harder.
Wish our young coders good luck and lets cross our fingers for them to complete the challenge and achieve good results!
