Christmas Carols in Stara Trznica

Boys Choir and the Senior Girls choir sang at the IWCB Bazaar at Stare Trznica on Sunday afternoon. It was their first time singing in public and they were very nervous beforehand.
They had a stage to themselves in the middle of the hall and were put in front of large microphones for the first time.

The Girls Choir began their programme with Hallelujah and within the first few bars the nerves disappeared and were replaced with big beaming smiles as it became clear how much the audience were enjoying their performance. They followed this with the more traditional Christmas Carols Away in a Manger, Gaudete and Silent Night before giving way to the Boys Choir with a different set entirely.  In contrast to the girls' sweet harmonies the boys sang fast paced bouncy numbers with a rousing chorus of jingle bells towards the end.
Not content with just the students singing, Miss Howarth, with the girl’s help, taught the audience the ostinato part of Noel Noel and they were able to join in the boys' final song.
All the students loved the performances and the audience enjoyed it too, it was a great afternoon for everybody involved.
They are looking forward to their next performances at the School Christmas Concert on December 3rd.
