Sponsored Run

On Friday 20 February the children in Early Years were selling their very own pictures for the 'Make it Right' Kramare hospital project. The children had created wonderful works of art using hand prints, drawings of their favourite things or self portraits. The Reception children decided for what price their picture should be sold and wrote price tickets for their works of art, some children aimed high and valued their pictures at 100 Euro! With the sale, the children collected more than 300 Euro, so well done to all the artists in EYFS!

Just before half term, The Primary School was asked to dovetail their House Colour Day with the Secondary School’s Sponsored Run. As it turned out, a lot of running was completed, a large amount of money was collected and many tired children went home feeling like Marathon runners.

Each class was allocated half an hour to run around a track measuring approximately 130 metres. After completing a lap, children were given a straw which represented a house point. Running alongside the younger children were students from the Secondary School, two US Marines and four nurses from Kramare Hospital all of whom were supported by a cheering crowd. Needless to say, the atmosphere was great.

At the end of the day, the straws were counted and the results were as follows

Beavers: 1775

Eagles: 1797

Otters: 1627

Wolves. 1673

On average, each House ran just over 200 kilometres that day whilst at the time of writing, over 2000 euros has been collected just from the Primary School.

Well done to everyone involved. You were all superstars.
