Experience / Knowledge

  • Degree plus PGCE/QTS

  • Good working knowledge of the English National Curriculum and national Literacy Strategy (including National Curriculum levelling as well as EAL levelling).

  • Ability to teach IGCSE and A Level History

  • Good classroom practice and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to prioritise workloads and to work on own initiative

  • Training in ‘ESL in the Mainstream’ or similar

  • Previous experience with SE Asian students in TEFL environment
