Information and Reminders
Thank you for wearing your school uniform with pride. Please can I encourage parents to continue wearing the correct school clothing and for a little while longer a coat for outdoor play. The correct uniform for Pre Nursery is displayed in the booklet. The blue school polo shirt and blue school track pants with matching zip up cardigan are the required uniform, to be worn with black, navy or grey shoes. Overview of next week’s learning
The children have been quite interested in mark making, which is the initial stage of learning to write. I will be providing more exciting opportunities for them to experiment with colours and marks. This includes not only pencils, markers and chalk but also stickers and glue. To strengthen our creativity and inspire design we will be adding glitter and sparkly bits to our drawings. We have started cutting and will be doing this regularly, under supervision.
We will be reading the Julia Donaldson story, “A squash and a squeeze”. Besides being a funny story involving farm animals, it lends itself to a portrayal of positional language such as in, out, and on top of. There are also fun activities including squeezing our dough disco balls.
We will be keeping a close eye on our seeds we planted too.
