Next week, I look forward to sharing some of our plans for the start of the next 15 years. Having spent the day with our new Head of Secondary, Mr. Andrew Joy interviewing some of our existing team in relation to leadership posts for next academic year, I’m really excited for the year ahead. Of course, some staff will inevitably move on (fortunately very few this year), but as always this brings new opportunities with new faces and ideas to our team. Next term, we will be introducing those faces to you. I’ll also be sharing a meatier end-of-term newsletter next week, with a look at the many things you can look forward to in the weeks, months and years ahead.
Finally, the real highlight of the week has not just been from the many amazing things our students have participated in (which you can read throughout this week’s newsletter), but hearing from our professional photography team on how much they have enjoyed their time here. They regard us as the most welcoming school with the most respectful and collaborative students who clearly take pride in being part of this special NAIS Pudong family. As professional school photographers, they travel across the UK and many international schools and draw on many experiences, but it was with absolute heartfelt authenticity that they paid their compliments to our young people.
Next week, we will observe the artistic talents of our students. I can’t wait to see you at our annual production this year’s extravaganza Into the Woods, a few tickets remain for the VIP evening on Monday, so dust of your glad rags and get ready for a night to rival any Broadway has to offer. Visual art comes to the forefront on Wednesday as our IB students showcase their final art pieces, whatever the age of your children if they or you have a passion for art in all it’s many forms please come along and see the results of long hours creating masterpieces.
