MIT Trip

Four of our students who won the ‘Hack the Tube’ competition earlier in the year are getting very excited for their trip to MIT! Ahead of their departure on Sunday, the students write about what they are looking forward to.

  • MIT

My name is Conlan Morton. I am British and I am 11 years old. I am in year six and I like playing basketball and football. My favourite football teams are Arsenal and Juventus. My favourite subjects at school are PE, Topic, English and Math. I am excited to go to MIT because when I am older I would like to be an engineer and it will be a once in a lifetime opportunity and I also want to make worldwide friends. I encourage other children to sign up for it in the future because if you win you have that opportunity as well I know it's hard work but hard work pays off in life.

Hello, my name is SeungWoo Lee. I am Korean I am 11years old right now. I am in year 6 (grade 5) and I like playing football (soccer). My favourite football team is Manchester United. My favourite subjects are Maths and PE. I am looking forward to MIT because for me, this is my first big trip and this is an opportunity that I will remember for the rest of my life. I encourage others to try out for MIT because they will enjoy it too.

My name is Phoebe McLuskie and I am going to MIT on the 30th of April. I am from England. I am in year seven and I am eleven years old. My favourite subjects in school are Art, DT, English, Spanish, PE and Drama. I can't wait to go to MIT because it will be a one in a lifetime opportunity. I am most excited for Bodaborg and the fish and ships workshop. Some of the things we will be doing include team building activities and a pirate training day. I encourage other students to try out next year because you might never get an opportunity like it in your life.

Hello, my name is Jada from New Zealand and I am excited to go to MIT! I'm excited because I think MIT is a place where people learn and work for the betterment of human kind and going to see the working environment and working there is a great privilege.

We look forward to sharing more about the trip with you upon their return!
