Information and Reminders

Kindly ensure that your child comes to school with an appropriate sun hat. Please ensure that sun lotion and mosquito repellent is applied at home before coming to school. We are unable to apply it at school.

Please can you ensure that the children are reading their school books at home, even if it’s just for five minutes in the evening. Reading journals should have a comment or be signed to indicate that your child has read. Overview of Learning

This week, the children have all created “The Little Red Hen” story maps. We performed our re-telling of the story to our very youngest children in Early Years and the children did a fantastic job remembering all of the words and actions. Over the weekend, encourage your child to re-tell you the story and they can even have a go at creating a story map, talking you through the process as they go. Next week, the children will begin the process of writing the story using their story maps as a writing aid. As the end of the year will be quickly upon us, we will be looking at key skills across our maths framework in preparation for the handover to Year 1.
