Year 9 News - 26th May 2017

Find out what's been happening in Year 9

A word from the Year Leader.

Summer is here! What beautiful weather we are having right now and I always think when the sun shines our school looks particularly attractive.

Last week we welcomed over 200 students from across Asia. Schools arrived from Kuala Lumpar, Bangkok, Taipei, Beijing and Ho Cho Minh City to participate in Fobisia games. It was a fantastic friendly games with everybody displaying excellent sportsmanship.

Many of our older students volunteered their time to support the tournament by marshalling events, being ball boy/girls and generally supporting out Tigers. It was definitely a ‘Proud to be a Tiger’ week.

We also enjoyed performances at ‘Stage and Screen’. This was a fantastic evening packed with talent. The singing was fabulous and I always enjoy watching our students in a different light. Well done to all involved.

Exams still continue for Year 9 after we return from the long weekend. I hope everyone takes the opportunity to fit in some extra study. I have been very impressed with the mature manner in which the students have approached their exams.
