Bonfire Night is a British tradition, commemorating the failed assassination attempt on King James I during the opening of the British Parliament in 1605. You might know it as Guy Fawkes Night, as it is this one conspirator whose name has gone down in history connected with the incident. This year, we will celebrate on Saturday 8th November.
Bonfire Night 2014 is once again co-hosted with The British Chamber of Commerce Shanghai. There will of course be a huge bonfire, spectacular fireworks, and delicious food and drinks.
Mr Seaton will also lead some of our student musicians in a live performance to match the mood of the evening.
BritCham will have a hot toddy stall and a glow stick stall to raise money for their charity Heart 2 Heart, while our own Community Group will sell wine and soft drinks on the night to aid our school charities.
This is a FREE event and all are welcome to attend.
