Staff Profile: Therese Andrews

Therese Andrews

Deputy Head of Secondary

Therese began teaching in North London in 2007 after gaining a PGCE at the University of Wales, Swansea and a BA (Hons) in Geography from the University of Nottingham. Prior to this, she had spent a year backpacking around the world and volunteering in a school in Thailand.

In 2009, Therese accepted a role as Head of Geography at the British International School of Boston and was quickly promoted to Head of Middle School. During her time in Boston, Therese held responsibility for many areas of school life including leading on the International Middle Years Curriculum and Nord Anglia’s Global Campus.

Additionally, Therese worked as a Geography Teaching Fellow for Nord Anglia’s Education Team where she led teachers around the world in subject specific CPD after being recognised as a Centre of Excellence by the Geographical Association in the UK. More recently, after studying part time Therese graduated from the Harvard Graduate School of Education with a Master’s degree in Learning and Teaching.

In her spare time Therese enjoys running and swimming. She represented Wales at swimming as a teenager and more recently New England at the World Masters Championships in Montreal in 2014. Therese also briefly held a World Record as part of a 4 x 100 relay team in 2009.
