Our global point average of 34.4 was higher than the IB global average of 31.38 points, widening the gap between our schools and other IB schools around the world. This marks the seventh consecutive year that Nord Anglia schools have outperformed global average scores by more than 10%. Our point average was also 1.5 points higher than last year’s average of 32.9, marking the strongest set of IB results in our history.
We are delighted to share that 15.8% of our 1,386 IB candidates achieved 40 points and above — the level of attainment required to gain admission to the world's best universities such as Cambridge, Oxford, Harvard and Stanford.
Several Nord Anglia schools around the world recorded stand-out averages as well. For example, Nord Anglia International School Dubai recorded a 38.6 average diploma score and British International School, Ho Chi Minh City recorded an average of 38.1. This was closely followed by our Charlotte school with an average of 38.0. Bravo to these students!
Six perfect 45s
The good news continues with our IB results. Six of our students received a perfect score of 45, with one at International College Spain Madrid, another in Nord Anglia International School Dubai, and one at BIS Ho Chi Minh City. Our Oakridge schools also added a new feather in their cap of academic achievements with three students achieving the perfect score.
