Our nursery and reception children follow the UK Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. At this vital first stage in their education, we lay important developmental foundations, teaching the basics in English, maths and science through planned, purposeful play activities.
There’s plenty of time for your child to express themselves, too, through music, games, and exploration. Our Forest School takes children on adventures into the great outdoors, including visits to local woods, farms and zoos. We also run a tailored after-school programme. From football, dance and ballet to crafts and construction, children pick up important skills and discover new talents.
Assessing your child’s progress
Our teachers make regular observations, keeping a record of how your child is doing and monitoring their progress against key developmental milestones. These assessments also help us to understand your child’s preferred style of learning. Through Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) sessions and tutor time, we look after your child’s well-being, too.
