Alison Piguet

Alison Piguet

Head of Primary

Piguet studied Psychology at university in London and completed a Post-Graduate Certificate of Education in Chester in the UK. She has a Masters in Educational Management and Leadership.

Her teaching career started in 1989, in the UK. During the ensuing ten years she taught children from 7-12 years old, as a general class teacher. She also taught French and assumed leadership roles in special educational needs, language and literacy and whole school management positions. In 2008 she was offered the opportunity of becoming the founding Head Teacher of LCIS. The founding and expansion of LCIS from a school of 42 primary pupils, to a well-established, highly reputed school in the La Côte region, has been a labour of love.

For Alison, high expectations and standards, mutual respect and collaboration are key values for both staff and students to embrace. She believes strongly that excellence and striving for the highest performance reflects the giving of one’s best, and leads to personal fulfilment and a sense of attainment. She is a keen pianist and sportswoman, and plays most racket sports. Alison lives in Aubonne with her two teenage daughters.

What LCIS students have to say about Mrs. Piguet:

‘She has a nice smile and she makes people happy.’

‘She looks after the school and helps to make it the best school ever!’

‘She gives the Golden Badges and calculates the house points.’

‘She keeps the school safe and quiet.’
