Want to learn more about the interesting culture of China? Our BSB Parents’ Association (PA) is presenting a series of China talks this year and have invited China experts to share fascinating insights on different aspects of Chinese history, traditions & society.
Topic of the month: Old Beijing
Learn more about Old Beijing, which is not in old buildings or old roads alone. It is a way of life. Old Beijing is in tending flowers, having trees and gold fish in a courtyard, going to cricket games, eating certain snacks, going to a tea house and listening to a story teller. Though the changes in Beijing happen rapidly, some things still stay the same. Folk culture luckily isn't that easy to erase.
