Student Council Recycling Initiative at BSB

The Student Council have begun a new initiative on paper recycling throughout the Primary School.  To inform the students and teachers about the recycling effort we created a PowerPoint presentation in pairs to share with each year group.

Each week, the classes put the paper to be recycled into a specially labelled green tray. Every Monday, after our Student Council meeting at lunch, we collect the paper and deliver it to the Primary office. Shortly after, Mr Li, the paper recycling officer collects it and takes it to a sorting warehouse. From there it is taken to recycling plant where it is made into toilet paper.

This is linked to STEAM and UNICEF’s Sustainable Goal #12 “Responsible Consumption”. We are working on this project so we can help to save the environment by saving more trees.
