I was born in Beijing and joined BSB in 2008 as a one-to-one teaching assistant.
I graduated from Beijing Language and Culture University majoring in teaching Chinese as a second language. I also hold a certificate in teaching Chinese as a second language issued by the International Chinese Language Association.
My goal has always been to become a language teacher and with this in mind I joined the primary Chinese department at BSB in 2011. I teach a range of children, from beginners to advanced intermediate across both Foundation stage and primary. I believe that teaching should be child centred and that language learning should be fun and hands-on. I am also passionate in designing the Chinese curriculum to make it interactive, fun and differentiated to the needs of the students.
In my spare time, I love spending time with my wife and my family. I enjoy travelling and exploring the local customs and cultures of different countries.
What the students say:
- Mr Wu is very kind.
- He teaches us by using worksheets and lots of fun activities.
- It is quite nice to do games when we practice Chinese.
I think to 'Be Ambitious' is a key to success. It will bring great influence of our teaching theory. It will give us and the children some creative ideas about how to enhance our learning outcomes.
