Students from five schools competed in a basketball festival on Saturday, 31th January in Bratislava - Lafranconi. British International School of Bratislava BISB, QSI Bratislava, Greater Grace International School GGIS, Danube International School DIS and American International School of Salzburg SAL.

The first game saw us take on the DIS. In a very close game, both teams alternated the lead, with a dramatic end for our team, winning 27 – 24. The star of the game was Emma Krištofovičová with 10 points scored.

The second game against GGIC girls started well, winning the first quarter 12 – 4 and second one 9 – 2. The lowest score was the third quarter (4 – 2), with all points scored by Elise Barbier. In the last quarter Victoria Rezešová excelled scoring 8 points, winning the game 37 – 12.

The girls went into the final game in a good mood and with enthusiasm, but the older and more  advanced QSI team showed a highly organized defense. In a low score game, we  lost 6 – 18 (2 – 8, 2 – 2, 1 – 2, 1 – 6) the girls showed fighting spirit and tenacity to the very end.

Well done girls!
