In ten years, the movement has spread worldwide. Last year over 170 countries were involved, over 400 world's most iconic landmarks were switched off on a hour, thousands of events were organised and over a million individual actions taken to help change climate change. More over 7 countries are aiming of climate policy outcomes.
The secondary eco-committee has initiated BISB EARTH HOUR DAY on Friday 24th March. We will try to spend a day with lights switched off and no electronic devices used in lessons. The primary aim is not to save energy, but to show that each of us has their responsibility towards the environment and our actions matter.
This year EARTH HOUR will take place on Saturday 25th March 8:30pm-9:30pm. The lights of Bratislava castle and other landmarks in the city will be switched off to say that people here support the climate action. Will you support it too? What will be your action?
