Michal is Czech, was born to two musician parents and studied French horn from the age of 12. He studied in California and then completed his Master’s Degree at Juilliard. He is currently playing principal horn in the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra where he has been for the last 14 years.
Michal performed for the Primary School assembly in the morning then took part in a question and answer sessions from students in years 3, 5, 9, 10 & 11. He discussed his life as a performer, how to stay focused and dedicated, the history of the French horn and his love of Korean food amongst other things. The students were enthralled by his performances and asked many intelligent and insightful questions.
It's been fantastic having Michal in to visit and we wish him all the best with his visit to our sister school in Prague next week.
