Plamienok is a charity that supports young children in three main ways. First of all, they help terminally ill children by taking care of them at home, with trained doctors, nurses, psychologists and social workers being only two hours away from Bratislava, allowing them to quickly provide the care these children need.

Plamienok is a charity that supports young children in three main ways. First of all, they help terminally ill children by taking care of them at home, with trained doctors, nurses, psychologists and social workers being only two hours away from Bratislava, allowing them to quickly provide the care these children need.
Secondly, they have an education centre which is a continuous educational program for employees, professionals, students and volunteers. This ensures that all those working for Plamienok are up to date in both their methods and knowledge. Lastly, there is the centre for grief therapy, which is there to help both children and families who have lost their loved ones in dealing with the issues that can come with such a loss. These services are all completely free. This is why the charity is reliant on donations, which is the reason for run.
