We speak over 300 languages on a daily basis on the European continent. Without this communication we would not be able to master the day to day challenges of the constantly changing and moving world.
The students of our school are great examples of how effective communication and multilingualism can support everyone’s progress and the understanding between people.
They mastered four different activities, such as singing the song “ This is me“ from the film “ The greatest Showman“ in Makaton language, which is a simplified sign language programme that uses signs and symbols to help people to communicate.
In the final European Day of Languages assembly students performed the song by using the sign language. Playing the Activity game students have developed their communication and collaborative skills. Kahoot quizzes on i-Pads tested their knowledge about the European languages and finding the real meaning of some frequently used Latin phrases challenged them as well.
Students of Secondary have shown a great team spirit and fantastic collaboration within the team. They won points for their House teams and enjoyed a fun and action packed morning.
