Lots more water means puddles to splash in, new textures in the sandpit and lots of mixing opportunities in the mud kitchen. The soil has been softer and lots of the children have been able to use shovels to dig up the soil to discover mini-beasts. There have been many opportunities to challenge their thinking as we discover worms, their worm holes , as well as a beetle larva. And best of all, there are no complaints about the rain - I am not sure they even notice it as they are just too busy!
