The wonderful people at Massachusetts Institute of Technology have been working hard to create a website especially for Nord Anglia teachers. It is designed to be a space for teachers to obtain resources, engage in professional discourse, and ask questions relating to the exciting challenges which the students at BISB will be involved in throughout this academic year.
Since our time of virtual schooling, we have been made more aware of the importance of online communication and this website will help us teachers communicate more effectively with our colleagues in other Nord Anglia schools, as well as the experts at MIT, so that we can provide your children with the best opportunities and support with the oncoming STEAM challenges this year.
As well as this, the STEAM section on our Global Campus website has had an exciting revamp! For students, there is a superb new area on Global Campus called “Elements” to support STEAM and Project Based Learning (PBL) – both in the classroom and at home, when students might be working on projects independently. There are links to talks from MIT experts, LEGO challenges, STEAM projects for you to try at home: it’s all there for the students of BISB. It really is worth checking out if you haven’t already done so.
With all these online opportunities to hear from experts and share our great ideas, this year looks set to be the STEAMiest yet!
