After a year improving my English in Bishop Stortford (England) and almost 2 years working on international engineering project I wanted to keep working in an international environment and do a job I had studied for. I answered an adverb to work as an assistant with children and today I have been with BISB for 14 years now - 5 years as an assistant in nursery and year 2 and this is my 5th year of teaching nursery children. I still find teaching at BISB very exciting and challenging and could not appreciate enough our new learning environment, new classrooms that we got this September.
I have been married for 11 years, have 1 husband and 2 children. Older Simon is 10 years old and attends BISB. Younger, Stela is 4 and goes to a Slovak private kindergarten. As a good mummy I usually follow my children interests what means that I take them to and from karate club, piano lessons and gymnastics. Though we like going out as a family visiting parks, cinema, etc., I do not mind when my kids are away from home. That is the time when I read a good book, experiment a bit in the kitchen or go for a coffee with friends or shopping. I also have a good friend who once a time arranges tickets to the Slovak National Theatre so I stay in touch with Slovak cultural life as well.
What the students say about me
‘I like you because you always wear a nice dress’
‘I like you because you help me with putting my shoes on’
