What a wonderful place schools are at the beginning of a new academic year with
a sense of expectation and excitement.
Laughter and smiles have filled our week here, as the children have been
catching up with old friends and making new ones.
We were all soon fully back into our learning and finding what the new school year will bring. Not a single minute was wasted as children started learning about pop art in year 5, the story and theory of evolution in Year 4, crime and punishment in Y6, the trials and tribulations of the three pigs in Year 1, what São Paulo is really like in Year 3, learning all about ourselves in Year 2 and myself and my family in EYFS.
The key to success in learning is getting the children fully engaged in their own learning, choosing the context that will ignite curiosity and using the skills of creativity and collaboration is essential in all our planning here at BCB.
An amazing start to this year, which I hope, will continue to be filled with children’s joy and intrigue in everything they do.
