Ben Holman

Ben Holman

Head of Secondary

Ben Holman has a Masters Degree from the Catholic University of Leuven and a P.G.C.E from University of Exeter. He joined Northbridge International School from The English School, Bogotá where he was Head of Middle School for 2 years, and Head of Secondary for 3 years.

  • BSc Human Geography, Brunel University
  • M.A European Studies, K.U Leuven
  • P.G.C.E Secondary Geography, University of Exeter

Having qualified as a teacher in 2005, Ben spent four years teaching in Basingstoke at The Costello School before a seven-year stint working in Colombia at The English School, Bogotá.

Ben has a partner Erika and they enjoy spending time with their dog Mr. Fox and watching films. Ben also spends his spare time keeping fit through football, boxing, running and TRX.

Ben's philosophy to education is closely aligned with that of the IB, which is for students to be able to take control of their own learning and to interact with others using relevant technologies. All community members can cooperate happily and be mutually respectful regardless of culture.

Young people need to be given the conditions to allow them to develop a social and environmental conscience. The point of an integral education is that each student is given the tools to lead confidently through clear communication and be the change in their own world.
