Geraldine Trueman

MYP Art and Design Teacher

Geraldine joined Northbridge International School Cambodia from Elstree University Technical College, London, where she taught Art & Design and Photography to A Level and GCSE, BTEC Level 3 Art and Design, BTEC Level 2 Hair and Makeup and Physical Education.

  • BTEC Diploma in Art & Design
  • BA Hons Fine Art
  • TESOL Certificate 120 hours, TLC Florence
  • PGCE Secondary Art

Geraldine spent her first 3 years teaching English as a Second Language and IGCSE Art in the UK at a coastal boarding school in Suffolk. She went on to train for her PGCE at two schools near Luton, before landing her first role in a public technical college linked to the Elstree Film Studios in London as an Art and Photography teacher.

Teaching abroad has always been of huge interest to Geraldine, for as an artist, she finds travel very inspiring for creating new work, however she also enjoys teaching children from all nationalities. Geraldine immigrated to the UK from Johannesburg, South Africa, when she was 7 years old and has been interested in other cultures and countries ever since.

She moved here alone and in her free time enjoys swimming and cycling, exploring new places with her camera and sketchbook and learning the local language as best as she can. She is very grateful to be part of the Northbridge family and is excited about the year ahead and the many successes that will be celebrated along the way.
