On 1st May, a fresh but dry day, our students of Cl 1 visited an educational farm. This project was set up to promote the discovery of the characteristics of certain animals (environmental programme). After a good afternoon tea with some "Tomme de la ferme", bread and apple juice produced in the neighbouring village, the children were able to discover the haystack and the barn. In the latter, they got to meet a cow named "Raspberry". Pascale, our facilitator, demonstrated how to milk a cow. They then took a spin on the large plate that allows one to distribute the hay. Next, they visited the pigs and met 10 small piglets with their mum. After a good warm picnic, the children got to mold cheese, an activity they very much liked. Whilst taking part in different workshops, they then saw the sheep, goats, horses, ducks, rabbits and calves. Everyone had a great day.
