As technology plays an increasingly vital role in our lives, it should also play a vital role in education. Our digital learning programme Champitech gives students and teachers continuous access to technology in order to make lessons more engaging, personalised and efficient, as well as enabling learning to take place at any place and any time.
At Collège Champittet, students benefit from the latest technology and teaching approaches. Putting technology into the hands of students has a noticeable effect on what a student can learn, and how much they engage with the subject.
Our private school was the first in the canton of Vaud, and the first school of the Nord Anglia Education family, to offer individual iPads to teachers and students, and we strive to leverage their potential in lessons from an early age.
In 2010, we made iPads available to Primary School classes. Now all students and teachers have their own personal iPad to help them learn and collaborate.
Our innovative teachers make use of technology in a range of ways to help students work together better and to dive more deeply into the subjects they are learning.
The appropriate integration of technology is a valuable asset for educators. Our teachers are trained in how to integrate these devices effectively and encouraged to use them innovatively. Support is provided by a group of teachers specialised in technology integration, and our team of student Digital Leaders run a daily help desk for the entire school community.
