8th grade students exploring the stars

On Thursday 11th and Friday 12th of September, 8th Grade students took part in a two-day integration trip to St. Luc. On the first day, after an impressive journey up the mountain by cable car, the children picnicked outside, tanked up some energy before walking along the "track of planets”.

The children enjoyed this beautiful hike, between Earth and skies, from the moon up to the first planets (Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter ...). Back at the Matterhorn Hotel, everyone enjoyed a cheese fondue, before braving the cold and the night to go to the Observatory, which houses one of the largest telescopes in Switzerland. Students were able to marvel at the beauty of the stars, taking turns to look into the giant device. The next day they went to Sion and enjoyed one of the most beautiful markets in Switzerland. Students returned to school with fond memories of those good moments shared together.
