Art exhibition by the 14th IB

14th IB students who have art as an option have to present an exhibition of their projects at the end of the year; an exhibition that counts for their diploma.

As a student of 13th IB with the art option, seeing such work is impressive. It is difficult to imagine yourself in the same situation as these students in only a year’s time. The work done is amazing and precise because the exhibit doesn’t only include the work but also the way to present the work or the artistic medium ... Everything is thought of.

  • Exposition d’art des 14èmes BI

This year, each student had to choose a theme for their exhibition:

  • Aurore and her exhibition "Touch of Silk" - Minimalism, movement and grace
  • Quentin and his exhibition "The Art of Seduction" - Women and seduction
  • Victoria and her exhibition "Body Of Work" - Anorexia Nervosa

I asked each student what was the hardest for them:

Aurore: "the hardest part for me was to represent my ideas. As everyone has a different point of view it can be hard to pass on your ideas when they are so clear to you”

Quentin : “The most challenging thing was finding the correct space and environment for my works and decorating it in order to create the right vibe”

Victoria: "I think the most difficult part of the exhibition was finding consistency within the works themselves. Anorexia is a delicate subject and I wanted to subject the viewer to an experience that was not too obviously shocking, and yet still had the ability to convey the message I wanted to send”

We wish them all the best!
