One day down, three to go - our students are getting “hosed down” with all the learning they’re receiving at MIT!

Former MIT President Jerome Weisner would often describe the experience of “getting an education from MIT like taking a drink from a fire hose”. Most students and faculty at the university agree the analogy is spot on. So much so, that in 1991 a group of hackers managed to embody Weisner’s expression by turning a fire hydrant into a drinking fountain located in front of the largest lecture hall on campus – a place where many freshman students get hosed daily!
