Parent Workshop-IB Diploma Programme and University Applications

On Wednesday we held the first LFA organised parent workshop back on campus. It was a pleasure to see parents back in the school and to be fully integrated back into the school community on campus. Hopefully this will be able to continue, and we can return to the normality of students, teachers and parents working actively together on campus to make Léman an even better school!

The workshop had 4 aims:

  • To introduce parents to the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma

  • To explain how Léman implements the IB Diploma to best take advantage of its many benefits over traditional content-led education

  • To explain the university application process

  • What to consider when choosing universities

The workshop was well attended by parents, who actively engaged with the workshop and asked important questions about the IB Diploma and university application process that demonstrated their developing understanding of both. We hope that through the continuing success of the workshops we can help support parents in their understanding of how Léman encourages their child to be ambitious, and how they themselves can actively support their child.

We hope that parents who were unable to attend can have a look at the presentation and if anyone has any questions please do not hesitate to get in contact with either Mrs Pass ( our university counsellor, or Mr Sutcliffe ( our IB Diploma coordinator.

Kind regards,

Mrs Pass and Mr Sutcliffe
