Allerie is beginning her eighth year of teaching. She has experience in teaching grade 1, grade 3, and grade 5. Her teaching career started in a small town called Emmett, Idaho. She taught in Emmett for four years. She then moved to Chengdu, China to experience teaching abroad. Allerie has been at Léman since August 2016. In the 2018-2019 school year she was given the math coaching position here at LIS and have since provided informational seminars on the common core math standard relevant to grades SK-5. In her previous experiences she has helped develop both math and reading curriculum as well as been a part of various leadership teams.

Her passion for teaching and learning grows each year with each new bunch of students. She continues to believe in the power of building relationships and teaching through experiences.

Students learn best through hands on and authentic activities. Allerie truly believes it is important to include mindfulness exercises within the learning day to teach and enhance student reflection, processing, and focus. “It is my job, as the educator, to provide opportunities and experiences for students to find and develop their own passions.”
