Zoe transferred from Chicago, USA, where she taught across Early Years and Kindergarten in addition to leading the Multicultural Committee. During this time, she also completed her Master’s Degree in Childhood Studies and Early Years. Prior to that she was teaching in Brunei as an Early Years Teacher with responsibility for leading the International Primary Curriculum. She began her teaching career in England, where she is originally from, 15 years ago.
Zoe has a real passion for working within Early Years. She is committed to giving children the best possible start to their education, enabling them to become happy, confident and independent learners. Her practice is firmly rooted in learning through play. She believes that every child is individual and that building upon each child’s needs and interests supports them in achieving their full potential. This year she was delighted to gain certification as a National Geographic Educator, after undertaking some turtle conservation work in Mexico. She loves teaching children about the world and empowering them to make it a better place.
She is excited to be here with her family and together they are looking forward to exploring China!
Angeline comes from France. She loved growing up in Europe, it allowed her to learn and speak different languages. She personally finds languages very interesting. You can learn a lot about other cultures just by learning its language. A lot of words lose meaning when translated, and that's just one aspect that makes every language unique. One of her hobby is baking. She loves the smell of fresh baked bread in the morning. She has been teaching for just over 13 years. She loves teaching Pre and Primary students. Her favorite author is Victor Hugo, and he once said something that makes Angeline wake up and go to work every day:
‘Don’t educate your children to be rich. Educate them to be happy so they know the value of everything that matters in life, not the price.’
Her aim as a teacher is to develop growing minds. She hopes her students to be Inquirers, Thinkers, confident communicators, positive and caring learners and lifelong learners. Be ambitious!
