Judy Li is originally from Sichuan, China. She joined Leman in August of 2015 and currently provides inclusive and small-group instruction to primary and secondary students with special educational needs.
Judy has been working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds and experiences for the last 7 years including 3 years of overseas educational experience. Judy majored in English Education and received her bachelor’s degree in Education and her Teacher license from Sichuan Normal University in 2011. In the same year, she was certified to teach students who study Chinese as a second language. Shortly after graduation, she set off to New York in the USA where she completed a one-year English Enrichment program at the Teacher’s College of Columbia University while she was serving as a Mandarin tutor. Prior to moving back to China, she worked as a bilingual teacher with Kindergarten and Primary students in a Korean school in Daegu, South Korea.
Judy has a true passion for working with our learners. She believes that students with special education needs all bring unique strengths and gifts. Judy along with the SEN team work with parents, external agencies, classroom and specialist teachers to offer cross- curricula support and to aid in personalising the educational experience for her students. She is dedicated and committed to help each and every student reach their full potential in all areas – academic, social, language acquisition, and their motor skills. This is a challenge that she feels honored to accept daily. In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, and she loves yoga and doing different kinds of workout to stay healthy and fit.
