Richard Wilkinson

Richard was working as a Grade leader at the International Academy Amman, Jordan for four years. Prior to teaching internationally he served as a Principal in New Zealand and an Assistant Principal in a Catholic school.

As the Head of Primary, Richard functions with a high degree of organization, curriculum knowledge, and purpose.  He was a former Principal and Deputy Principal in his beautiful homeland of New Zealand and served in many leadership roles over the previous 15 years. He has developed his knowledge and skills in leadership and teaching through some of the most influential and skillful people.

This is his 8th year in International Education, previously working at International Academy of Amman, Jordan. Curriculum development, assessment, facilitating connections among teachers and integrating community involvement are significant areas of strength always present in my practice.

His educational philosophy is one that embraces diversity and challenges students to think critically through ideas, not just about ideas. Further, He believes that teachers are some of the powerful people on the planet, they are always looking to add value to the lives of their students through the human endeavor of care, bringing about change and influence on a global scale.
