Bronwyn Jacobs, an Early Years Teacher, originates from Durban, South Africa. Bronwyn has worked in education for 17 years, focusing on Nursery and Year 1 for the past 11 years. In 2017 she taught Early Years in Beijing and managed a boarding house before moving to Chengdu in 2018 where she joined the Léman family.
Her two degrees are in Journalism (Honours) and in Early Years Education from Rhodes University, Grahamstown, South Africa. Her corporate experience aids to support and ground her professionalism in the classroom and as a colleague in education.
Bronwyn taught Early Years in South Africa as well as in Qatar. She managed her own franchise- Learning Through Play - as well as her own educational business - Enrichment English Lessons - at a school in Grahamstown, South Africa. She lectured at a university; this was instrumental in the operations of assisting middle school students in preparation for unforeseen high school challenges. From this, they gained scholarships to elite Eastern Cape private schools.
Her educational philosophy, “No one is left behind,” stems from her diverse upbringing and life experiences that shape her passion for people and education. Her lively spirit can be heard around as she often uses music to walk her students around the school. Bronwyn encourages students to fall in love with the idea of lifelong learning.
