Zoë began her teaching career in England, where she is originally from, over 16 years ago. She joined Léman International School in August 2019 as an Early Years Nursery Teacher. Zoë is a member of our Middle Leadership Team and is responsible for leading on Nord Anglia Education initiatives within the school. This includes our unique Global Campus and UNICEF programs and leading on professional development as part of our Nord Anglia University program for teachers.
Zoë specialises in Early Years Education and gained a Master’s degree in Childhood Studies and Early Years from Leeds University. Zoë has been teaching internationally for the last eight years and has also worked in Brunei and previously for Nord Anglia Education in Chicago, USA. Previously to that she taught in England and was an Early Years Advisor, raising standards in nurseries across the East of England. Zoë is an internationally accredited teacher of mindfulness for children and a children’s yoga teacher. She is also a certified National Geographic Educator.
Zoë has a real passion for working within Early Years. She is committed to giving children the best possible start to their education, enabling them to become happy, confident and independent learners. Her practice is firmly rooted in learning through play. Zoë believes that every child is individual and that building upon each child’s needs and interests supports them in achieving their full potential. One of her passions is teaching children about the world and empowering them to make it a better place. Zoë has twin children at the school in Year 11. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, baking, exploring China with her family, and walking her dog.
