The Early Childhood & Elementary Field Day will be Thursday, June 6. We will begin promptly at 8 am, so please be sure your child is on time to school. This is a day full of fun for the students – we have sports, relay races, a zip-line, a variety of games, zumba, swimming in the afternoon, water games, and much more.

Your child should not wear the school uniform on this day; he or she should come dressed in comfortable, cool clothes and shoes that are appropriate for outdoor play and that can get dirty!  We ask that your child wear a PLAIN NEON shirt for Field Day:

Please note – only students who stay full day on Thursdays will participate in the afternoon pool time; however, we will have water games in the morning!

Families ~ We need YOUR Help on Field Day!

We ask that parents help us with “cool down stations”. These stations will be located on the large soccer field and in the gym. The purpose of these stations is for students to be able to stop by while they are playing to have a quick cool off! We ask that parents help by sending in water, juices, and cut fruit. Please note that this is NOT a snack! It is simply a quick break to help the children stay cool. The stations will be shared with Elementary school students (ES parents will also contribute). Your class representative will likely contact you to ask for your help. We would also appreciate parent volunteers to work in “shifts” to help run these stations – please talk with your class representative for more information. We appreciate your time in helping to make this day fabulous!

Parent Education

Thank you to those parents who made it to our final Parent Education Series last week. Occupational Therapist, Yael Tarnopolsky, shared tips for summer activities. Please see her presentation (here) for more information.

This year we had a very full Parent Education Series with great variety. A special thank you to the Early Childhood Counselor, Ivania Espeleta, for organizing these opportunities for our community! I look forward to more great information next school year. If you have suggestions for our Parent Education Series for the 2019-2020 school year, please share these with Ms Espeleta (
