Country Day School - Liliana Rodríguez

Prep Assistant

I started my teaching career in a local Montessori school in San José, Costa Rica where I taught Pre-Kinder and Kindergarten.

In 2007 I started my teaching career in a local Montessori school in San Jose, Costa Rica where I taught Pre-Kinder and Kindergarten. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to work with toddlers and preschoolers and be able to experience first-hand how they engage in their own learning and learn new skills through the constant perseverance and the social interaction. After 4 very happy years there, I worked in a small bilingual school in Escazú as a Preparatory classroom teacher.

I have been part of the Country Day School community since 2012, during which time I have worked with children from Pre-Kinder through Preparatory as Teaching Assistant and then as a Classroom Teacher in Early Childhood. I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I have ever made! I love being part of a teaching staff that provides creative, engaging and immersive learning experiences for the children.

I hold a Bachelor Degree in Teaching English as a Second language for I & II cycles (Elementary) from La Salle University. I also hold a Technical Degree in Tourism Management from Colegio Universitario Boston (Boston College) in 2006. In addition, I have been trained in The Reggio Emilia Approach and Cooperative Learning Approach.

Outside of school, I love to discover nature in camping and hiking with my friends. I also like to visit the organic fair and explore new restaurants or coffee shops, my favorite being the Feria de Aranjuez!
