Lucy Cubero

Lucy Cubero - Country Day School

Prep Assistant

My name is Luz Marina Cubero Fernández, but my family and friends call me Lucy. I was born in San José, Costa Rica in the summer of 1970. I’m the youngest of 6 children, 3 girls and 3 boys.

I began working at Country Day School as a learning coach for a very young child in the Day Care, where I quickly moved in to a “nanny” position. In 2001, I moved into a teaching assistant position in the Day Care. I have worked as a teaching assistant in the ELC, Pre-Kinder, and now at the Kinder level.

I studied English at Fundatec, a program of the Tecnológico de Costa Rica. I have taken PreSchool Education courses at la UACA. I have also completed Level II in Lesco (Lenguaje de señas costarricense) in San Judas Tadeo University.

I love my work, I enjoy every day that I spend at school  with the children.
