After studying Early Childhood Education at Universidad Latina de Costa Rica, I began my teaching career in 1995, in a small Montessori school in San José, Costa Rica. I instantly fell in love with Montessori Education, so I trained with the Pan-American Montessori Society in Costa Rica and got my Montessori Certificate in 1997. For the next 12 years, I taught using the Montessori method and later trained and guided teachers in implementing the Montessori Education in different private schools in Costa Rica.
I started working at Country Day School in 2016 as an Assistant Librarian for Early Childhood, 1rst and 2nd grade, an extraordinary experience of daily learning and growth. This year I will be working as an assistant in First grade.
Outside of teaching, I love to travel and learn about different cultures, their food, and sceneries. I especially enjoy reading a good book while taking in the sun by the pool or the beach and exercising, especially going for a bike ride and walking.
I’ve been happily married for 28 years and have two amazing children, a 26 years old son and a 21 years old daughter.
